Fee Schedule & Compensation

Absolute transparency in how we are compensated for our stewardship.

At Sierra Crest Advisors, LLC, we operate strictly as a fee-only fiduciary. This means our sole source of compensation comes directly from our clients for the advisory and planning services we provide. We do not sell financial products, we do not earn commissions, and we do not accept third-party referral fees. This structure ensures our interests are completely aligned with yours.

Discretionary Investment Management Fees

Our standard portfolio management fee is based on a percentage of your Assets Under Management (AUM). Fees are calculated using a tiered breakpoint schedule, meaning as your wealth grows, the percentage you pay on additional assets decreases.

Assets Under Management Annual Fee Rate
First $1,000,000 1.00%
Next $2,000,000 (from $1M to $3M) 0.85%
Next $2,000,000 (from $3M to $5M) 0.70%
Assets Over $5,000,000 0.50%

Fee Calculation Example

If you have a portfolio valued at $2,500,000, your blended annual fee would be calculated as follows: The first $1,000,000 is billed at 1.00% ($10,000). The remaining $1,500,000 is billed at the lower 0.85% tier ($12,750). Your total annual fee would be $22,750, resulting in an effective blended rate of 0.91%.

Minimum Account Size: We generally require a minimum account size of $1,000,000 to establish an advisory relationship. However, Sierra Crest Advisors reserves the right to waive or negotiate this minimum at our sole discretion based on existing relationships, anticipated future earning capacity, or other mitigating factors.

Financial Planning & Consulting Fees

For clients requiring complex, standalone financial planning without ongoing portfolio management, or for project-based consulting, we charge either a fixed flat fee or an hourly rate.

  • Fixed Flat Fee: Ranging from $2,500 to $10,000+, depending on the complexity of your estate, tax, and generational planning needs.
  • Hourly Rate: $350 per hour for specific, targeted consulting projects.

A specific fee will be quoted and contractually agreed upon prior to the commencement of any planning work.

Billing Mechanics & Deduction

Investment management fees are billed quarterly in advance, based on the market value of your account(s) on the last business day of the previous calendar quarter. With your written authorization in our advisory agreement, fees are automatically deducted from your designated custodial account.

You will receive concurrent statements from your independent qualified custodian showing the exact fee deduction, and we strongly encourage you to review these statements carefully.

Other Associated Costs

Our advisory fee covers our management and planning services, but it does not cover third-party costs associated with maintaining an investment portfolio. You may be responsible for:

  • Custodial Fees & Transaction Costs: Ticket charges, wire fees, or account maintenance fees levied by your independent custodian (e.g., Charles Schwab, Fidelity).
  • Internal Expense Ratios: Management fees built directly into mutual funds or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) by the fund sponsors.

Sierra Crest Advisors does not receive any portion of these third-party fees.
