Social Media & Advertising Disclosures

Guidelines for interacting with our firm across digital platforms.

Sierra Crest Advisors, LLC maintains a presence on various public social media platforms (such as LinkedIn) to share macro-economic insights, firm news, and educational content. Because the financial services industry is highly regulated, our use of social media and public advertising is strictly governed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), specifically under the modern Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1).

To ensure regulatory compliance and protect your privacy, we ask that you review the following policies regarding how we manage and interact with content on third-party digital networks.

1. Not an Offer or Personalized Advice

Any content posted by Sierra Crest Advisors, or our associated personnel, on social media networks is for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute a recommendation, an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security or investment product. Furthermore, social media posts should never be interpreted as personalized investment, legal, or tax advice. Past performance is no guarantee of future results.

2. Testimonials, Endorsements, and "Likes"

Under the SEC’s Marketing Rule, public "likes," "shares," or positive comments regarding our firm can be construed as testimonials or endorsements. Sierra Crest Advisors does not solicit endorsements or testimonials on social media. Any "likes" or positive comments posted by third parties or clients are uncompensated, strictly voluntary, and may not be representative of the experience of all clients.

We actively monitor our public profiles. We reserve the right, and may be required by regulators, to remove comments or restrict users that post misleading information, offensive material, or explicitly recommend specific securities.

3. Third-Party Content & External Links

We may occasionally share, link to, or "like" content produced by independent third parties (e.g., news articles, economic reports). Doing so does not imply that Sierra Crest Advisors endorses, approves, or adopts the third-party content. We make no representations as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of external information, and we assume no liability for any reliance you place on such content.

4. Secure Communication & Trade Instructions

Social media platforms and their integrated direct messaging (DM) systems are not secure communication channels. For your protection, do not post or send sensitive personal information—such as account numbers, Social Security numbers, or financial details—via social media.

Additionally, Sierra Crest Advisors cannot and will not accept trade instructions, deposit requests, or withdrawal instructions via social media messaging or public comments. All such instructions must be communicated directly through your independent custodian or via verified phone contact with your designated advisor.

Monitoring and Recordkeeping

As a registered investment adviser, Sierra Crest Advisors is legally required to retain records of our digital communications and public advertising. By interacting with our firm's social media accounts, you acknowledge that your comments, messages, and interactions may be archived, monitored, and produced to regulatory authorities upon request. For more information regarding our data privacy standards, please consult our Privacy Policy.
